The joys of house ownership

We had a huge blessing happen today! We were having sewer problems (there is a bigger and grosser story to that) and after we finally got someone to look at it, they concluded that it was the city's responsibility!! Within 30 minutes, the city was out here and had fixed it.. for "free." What a relief!

The next hurdle was a clogged up drain. Hank borrowed a roto rooter from our neighbor and went to work! John P was here for moral support and 30 minutes later..clean drain! Whahoo!

Colorado sure is different than Alabama! Hank and I were amazed by the beautiful scenery on the way from the airport! On our day off, we drove up into the mountains towards Estes Park. We stopped by the side of the road and a nice fisherman took our picture.

Tim Keller was our highlight of the entire conference! We met in the CSU basketball gym during the morning and night sessions. There were over 5,000 people there (not including the 1, 000 kids in childcare)! It was incredible to see so many staff in one building.

Colorado

We are officially starting to blog here in Colorado at our bi-annual Crusade conference. It is as beautiful here as in the postcards, and it has been a blast so far! We've heard great messages from Tim Keller, our President Steve Douglass, and many others. It has been encouraging to hear what God is doing all around the world through Campus Crusades' ministries. Hank and I both have felt priveleged to work for an organization that is intent on letting His name be known throughout the nations. Pictures to follow!
