an addendum
*I've been thinking about how easy it is to portray that life is better than it is on blogs. Just to be real, this week has been pretty hard. I love that he is here and I'm enjoying it. However, there are times that I freak out, get way too emotional, and wonder if I'm going to have enough energy to do it again the next day and the next (ha, and my mom only just left today...real life is only just now). Praise the Lord that His word says that "His grace is sufficient for me and that His power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12: 9

One week old
We've had a lot going on around here. My brother (Oliver) and his wife (Katie) and son (Griffin) came to visit as well as my youngest brother, William! My parents are still here so it made for a full house. I'm so thankful and blessed that they made the long trip down to Auburn.
Henry is one week old today and am already sad that his first week is over. I'm loving the newborn stage and have decided that I never want him to grow up (not really but the hormones are talking here).

We're home!
We got home yesterday and am thankful to be here (even though I still wish I could have taken home one of those nurses that would keep him at night until he was ready to eat.. brilliant). My Mom and Dad are here and I consider it the biggest blessing! I'm still moving around pretty slowly and its nice to have an experienced mother around. We love getting to know and taking care of Henry!!

I heart epidurals
He's here! We are so thankful that everything went well yesterday with being induced. He's huge... we were shocked that he was 10 pounds 10 ounces, 23 inches long! I feel like he skipped the newborn stage and went straight to 2-3 months:)
We've only been able to spend about 5 minutes with him thus far. He had a temperature and some oxygen problems so they had to take him for observation throughout the night. We are hoping that he can come and hang out with us in the next hour or so!

All my bags are packed, and i'm ready to go...
I'm being induced Thursday morning at 7 a.m.! Its been a weird day of trying to enjoy our last day of "freedom" plus getting things ready for us to be gone for a couple of days. Tonight Hank and I went out to eat, visited the garden, had dessert at Snow Biz, and then ended the night with The Office reruns.
This picture was taken sometime last week... but I've gotten bigger since then. On Tuesday, the ultrasound technician predicted him to be 8 pounds, 12 ounces. If you think about it, pray for a safe delivery tomorrow!

June 8th
Today is my due date! I've been looking towards this day since October 2nd when we found out that I was pregnant. Ha, well I guess the Lord (and Henry) have different plans. My doctor told us yesterday that he would induce me next Thursday (17th) if he still hasn't made his appearance. Until then, I'm here (with my expanding belly) trying to be content and enjoy the time that we have left:)
